What To Expect

Once you arrive at the ranch, you will find a beautiful setting among the pine trees. One of our barn cats may be the first one to greet you. Our hope is that the peace and tranquility of the property will set you at ease. Our intention is that you feel welcomed and appreciated.

Each session typically lasts about 90 minutes, and we start with a simple chore. We work side by side with you to sweep the barn, clean a water trough, muck a horse pen, or other such activity.

The remainder of the time is spent with a horse and guided by one of our trained session leaders. No prior horse experience is needed. Some sessions are structured and some are very informal. Generally, we will be working with horses on the ground, but sometimes the work is on horseback.

Sessions for your children

We are happy to offer sessions for your children age 6 and up as well. We do require that when bringing them for a session that you stay on the ranch property for the duration of their session. You can relax in the family area to read or enjoy some quiet time for yourself. You are welcome to bring your other children with you to play in the family area, but they must remain under your supervision.
